plastic surgery

Many people, especially women, want to be beautiful, I mean, pretty because first of all beauty is one of values which people have pursued from the ancient times, and secondly, as we can see, the beautiful people tend to be treated better. I think it is a social trend nowadays.

What is your advice for your students who want to get plastic surgery?

At first glance, we have a tendency to be attracted by the pretty and the handsome. But I think the beautiful is better than the pretty. The graceful is better than the buautiful, and the kind is better than the graceful. So I want to advise my students that they should put emphasis on being a graceful and kind person before getting plastic surgery.

Friendship

Hello, my friends!
There is a saying "To have a good friend, you need to be a good friend."
How can you be a good friend?

As far as I am concerned, the best way to be a good friend is that I see him or her as often as I can. The more we see each other, the more we talk and the more we can have in common. It would be better to see each other at night because it is good time to be frank enough to reveal our secrets. We have ups and downs in our relationship, but it will be stronger because of those rainy days.

Your favorite writer

Do you read English novels? Who is your most favorite writer?

I enjoy reading thriller books. I don't get anything instructive and useful in life from them, but reading those kinds of books is good because it's fun and I can keep studying English without being bored.
Tom Clancy is my most favorite writer. Maybe he is most popular in America for his war and spy novels. Can you believe that it takes me only 3 or 4 days to finish his 400 0r 500 page book? It's really thrilling and astonishing!
Enjoying reading!

If you were

These days many people are protesting against China' action in Tibet. They speak up slogans like "Free Tibet!" "Stop killing in Tibet!" But International Olympic Committee official said that the IOC has no right to interfere in any country's domestic affairs.
Here is my question:
If you were chairman of IOC and many countries would'n take part in the Olympic Games because of the political reasons, what advices would you like to give the heads of the countries?
If I were Chairman, I would first meet the head of China and ask him pull their troops out of Tibet. I would like to persuade him to wait until the end of the games because the Olympic Games must mean peace and harmony. After that, I would like to give messages that all nations should participate in it because it should not have any political intentions under any circumstances.

Dutch anti-Islam film

The following video called "Fitna" by Geert Wilders, a politician who is against immigration, was posted on the Internet and combines images of terrorist acts with readings from the Koran. And there was a cartoon publication that sparked violent protests two years ago. It is very controversial because it is extremely critical of Islam. And it could set off violence. However, he has a right to speak freely in a democratic society.

Here is my question:

Which one do you believe is more important, freedom of the press and expression or public safty?

In my opinion, when we deal with religion, not just multiculturalism, we must be tolerant and wait for them to be more civilized. And if the freedom of speech threatens people's lives severely, it can be confined. If we understand that their religion is more important than their lives and be more tolerant, we can live in harmony in near future, I believe.

The Last Question in March

Here is my question for this week.
Do you drive a car?
What do you think is the most import thing in driving in Korea?

For me, I think smiling is the most important because it reflects a broad mind of the driver. If we are broad-minded, we tend to drive defensively and avoid accicents.
Even though we are here to study, safty is above studying. Please be careful when driving
